Dan McConchie Wins 26th Senate District Race

HAWTHORN WOODS, March 17, 2016 – After significant delays in vote counting, Dan McConchie claimed victory in the 26th Senate District race to succeed Senator Dan Duffy.

“I am honored to have earned the trust of the Republican primary voters of the 26th District,” said Dan McConchie. “I look forward to the chance to represent them with the same integrity and commitment to the people that Senator Duffy demonstrated over the past 8 years. I look forward to going to Springfield and taking on the Democratic machine that is so abusive to the people of our beloved state.”

Yesterday, Senator Duffy announced plans to resign from office on April 3rd to become President & CEO of Prevent Child Abuse America, a non-profit who works to prevent child abuse and neglect in all 50 states. The Republican Party will appoint a replacement in the coming weeks.
